OPPORTUNITY

It comes and knocks sometimes once in a lifetime
We tend to ignore it thinking it's not the right time
But when you are ready and think you deserve it
Remember the time when you didn't use it
So grab it and take it, its yours for the wanting.
Don't play shy or ask why, it will make life too daunting
It's something that you may not feel, hear or see
But it will be to your detriment if you fail to recognize OPPORTUNITY

BIOGRAPHY

Patrice Lawrence is a young woman who has always took pleasure in expressing herself through her writing, whether it be poetry, stories or even songs. Writing has been her outlet of expression for as long as she can remember. In fact her first memorable piece of writing was a short story she wrote when she was in Prep 2, her mother still has it on the copy book pages it was written on. And every Birthday or Christmas card she gave as a child would be filled with her own poetic compositions ("Who needed Hallmark's mass produced poems?"). Patrice says "I know this may sound a bit melodramatic but I do not choose to write, I have to write - it relaxes me, it energizes me, it opens up my mind and it makes me happy."
